20/8/25 - Some important and sad news for our US customers (and us).
The US has suspended the de minimis exemption for all low-value commercial shipments, including those from the UK, in an Executive Order on 30 July 2025, effectively ending the previous $800 threshold. This means that goods from the UK entering the US, even those valued under $800, will now face tariffs and duties starting on 29 August 2025.
In the short term at least - until we have clarity from the US gov and our delivery partners - this effectively makes it impossible for us to continue providing a service to the US, and we currently have no alternative but to halt shipments to the US with immediate effect.
We are absolutely devastated by this decision - especially after losing our European and N Ireland customers following Brexit - and hope common sense will soon prevail for you the people, we the people and all the people. We expect to be able to offer a “duties paid” delivery service within the next few weeks that will allow US customers to pay whatever charges the US gov decides to impose at the point of purchase, so that parcels can then be received without any further billing or correspondence.

GENERAL SHIPPING INFORMATION
We offer worldwide shipping from our shop on Iona. Living on an island off an island, we're well aware that shipping costs can be frustrating, so we're delighted to be able to offer free shipping to all of our UK customers when spending £50 or more.
Shipping will be automatically calculated for you at checkout according to weight, but the information below should act as a guide.

We've added Royal Mail Special Delivery for orders up to 2kg, which offers guaranteed next day delivery in the UK if you've left things to the last minute. As always, this is weather dependent so please get in touch if you need an advisory on ferry disruption. Please note Special Delivery Guaranteed have longer delivery times for Channel Isles - see here for more information.

Disruptions
We aim to dispatch orders received by midday the next available posting day. However, there may be times where we are affected by factors beyond our control such as adverse weather conditions or postal strikes and orders may be delayed.
Please allow plenty of time for your goods to arrive - if the ferry isn't sailing there's not much we can do!
International Orders / Brexit update for EU customers
All international orders are sent Tracked & Signed, or Tracked, depending on the services available in each region.
Please note all international orders (to be delivered outside of the UK) may be subject to additional import charges upon delivery. We advise you check import regulations in your country before placing an order.
We are working to establish new shipping solution so that we can offer a duty paid service to customers in the EU, where any additional taxes and duties can be paid for at checkout. Until then, if you're shopping from outside the UK our checkout price includes shipping only, and you will be responsible for paying any additional charges directly to your local customs authority.
