The Frisa scarf is from the new Isle collection of wool and silk blend scarves, with prints inspired by pieces of broken china beachcombed on the Isle of Mull.
The scarf has been digitally printed with a repeat pattern in dark navy, teal and ivory with a dark navy border. The design was developed from an original line drawing. The fine blend of Italian woven wool and silk is lightweight yet warm.
Printed and finished in Scotland.

Influenced by traditional Japanese textile techniques learnt in Kyoto while researching for her graduate collection at The Glasgow School of Art, her focus is on hand-drawing, collage and repeat pattern.
From her home studio, Ellen produces prints using techniques including digital printing, screen-printing and katazome - a Japanese resist-dyeing method.
